ACG Architects led the “Naval Base Joint Venture” consortium, along with NOA Architects & TC Design Group. “Project Klarinet” is situated in Simons Town and houses the various administrative functions of the South African Navy.

The complex employs a courtyard footprint to maximise the use of natural light and to allow for some outdoor activity in a building with very strict security requirements. The facades and building envelope have been carefully controlled to respect the historic character of the surrounding Naval Base buildings, while acknowledging the beautiful views.
