The Shared Services Office Building (SSOB) is an initiative of the Provincial Government of the Western Cape to house key Service Departments serving districts in a single centrally located building. The building is situated in the Khayelitsha CBD, alongside the Khayelitsha hospital (also designed and led by ACG) and was was a joint venture with NOA Architects.

The SSOB for Khayelitsha houses the provincial departments of Health-, Agriculture-, Social Development- & Education accounting for 4695m2 of floor area in five storeys & a parking basement.

It was the first public sector office building to achieve a five star green rating from GBCSA. This was achieved through an emphasis on passive design systems, energy use reduction innovations, environmentally friendly materials choice, the ability to de-materialise & the reduction of water use through recycling.
